Lamine Yamal scored twice as Barcelona secured an entertaining 4-2 victory over Levante in their 2026/27 La Liga clash, with Karim Adeyemi sealing the win in stoppage time.
Barcelona made a bright start to the game and took the lead just five minutes into the contest through their young full back, Xavi Espart.
The visitors continued to dominate the early stages and doubled their advantage in the 19th minute when Yamal found the back of the net to double the lead and put Barcelona firmly in control.
Levante struggled to contain Barcelona's attacking threat during the opening half as the visitors took a comfortable lead into the break.
Yamal added his second goal of the evening shortly after the restart, converting from the penalty spot in the 48th minute to give Barcelona a three-goal advantage.
However, Levante refused to give up and produced a spirited response in the closing stages of the match.
Iván Romero pulled one back for the home side in the 79th minute before Roger Brugué added a second goal in the 88th minute to set up a tense finish, making it two goals to three (2-3) against them.
Levante's late comeback threatened to put Barcelona under serious pressure as the hosts pushed for another goal.
But Adeyemi ensured there would be no dramatic turnaround when he struck in the third minute of stoppage time to score Barcelona's fourth goal and secure all three points.
The victory was another impressive attacking display from Barcelona, with Yamal emerging as one of the standout performers after his two-goal contribution.
Barcelona will now look to build on the result as they continue their campaign in the 2026/27 La Liga season.
